Oklahoma City, OK – Multi-Vehicle Crash Result in Injuries on I-35 near MM 154

Oklahoma City, OK (August 16, 2025) – A multi-vehicle accident involving a white box truck and a DOT pickup truck shut down portions of Interstate 35 southbound near mile marker 154 on Thursday afternoon, August 14. Initial reports from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol indicated that at least one person may have been trapped inside a vehicle after the collision.

The crash took place shortly after 2:17 p.m. and prompted a large-scale emergency response from EMS crews, sheriff’s deputies, and other local agencies in Logan County and nearby jurisdictions. Officials classified the incident as an “82” call—meaning injuries were confirmed—and quickly coordinated rescue efforts due to the possibility of entrapment.

Emergency responders worked together at the scene to provide medical care and, if necessary, free the injured occupant. Traffic in the southbound lanes near the Payne County line was disrupted while the scene was secured and rescue operations took place.

Authorities have not yet disclosed the total number of people involved or the extent of their injuries, but they confirmed that at least one individual required urgent medical treatment.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is leading the investigation into how the collision between the two vehicles occurred.

We send our best wishes to the injured parties and hope for their swift recovery.
