Clay County, MO – Woman Injured in Crash on I-35 N at Exit 20

Clay County, MO (September 25, 2025) – A woman sustained injuries in a two-vehicle collision on Wednesday evening, September 24, on I-35 North at Exit 20.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the crash happened around 5:57 p.m. A 2025 Toyota RAV4 attempted to change lanes to exit I-35 when it clipped the front of a 1999 Kenworth truck tractor. The RAV4 then veered off the road and struck an exit sign.

The 58-year-old woman driving the Toyota, from Kearney, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Liberty Hospital for treatment. The truck driver, a 36-year-old man from Rush City, MN, was not injured and was able to drive his vehicle from the scene. The Toyota sustained moderate damage and was towed.

We hope the injured woman makes a full recovery. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances that led to the crash.
