San Antonio, TX – Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Hit-and-Run on I-35 N

San Antonio, TX (September 28, 2025) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured on Saturday night, September 27, following a hit-and-run collision on Interstate 35 North near the 1300 block, according to the San Antonio Police Department. Officers were dispatched to the scene around 11:50 p.m. after receiving reports of a crash involving a 2025 Kawasaki EX650 motorcycle.

Investigators say the rider had been lane-splitting through slow-moving traffic caused by a prior accident when an unidentified black vehicle struck the motorcycle while attempting to pass. The impact caused the rider to lose control and be ejected from the bike, sending him into the rear of a black 2020 Chevrolet Malibu.

Paramedics transported the rider to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. He was last reported in stable condition. The driver of the black vehicle fled the scene without stopping to assist, police said. Authorities confirmed that the hit-and-run driver will likely face charges of collision involving serious bodily injury once identified. SAPD continues to investigate.

Anyone with dashcam footage or information about the suspect vehicle is encouraged to come forward. We wish the injured rider a smooth and full recovery.
