San Antonio, TX (July 21, 2025) – A pedestrian lost their life Friday night, July 18, after being struck by a vehicle on Interstate 35 South in San Antonio.

The fatal crash occurred around 9:20 p.m. in the northbound main lanes near the 7000 block of I-35 S. According to San Antonio police, the pedestrian was walking northbound in an area where foot traffic is prohibited.

A 2020 Ford EcoSport traveling in the same direction struck the pedestrian. Authorities pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. The person has not yet been publicly identified.

Police said the driver stopped immediately, tried to help, and cooperated fully with the investigation. No charges are expected at this time.
