Medford Twp, MN – Two Owatonna Residents Injured in I-35 Crash Near MM 49

Medford Township, MN (September 7, 2025) – Two residents of Owatonna were hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning, September 4, on I-35 near Medford Township. The accident occurred around 9:14 a.m. near mile marker 49. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the collision involved a vehicle carrying 39-year-old Seth Leavstrom and 41-year-old Aron Leavstrom. Both men sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash. Emergency personnel transported them to Owatonna Hospital for further evaluation and treatment. Authorities reported that the other vehicle involved in the accident remained at the scene, though details regarding its occupants have not yet been released. State troopers closed portions of I-35 while they worked to assist victims and investigate the crash. Traffic delays were reported in the area until the scene was cleared.
