Medford Twp, MN – Injuries Reported in Crash on I-35 at Milepost 49
Medford Twp, MN (September 5, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision occurred Thursday morning, September 4, on northbound I-35 near milepost 49 in Medford Township, Steele County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a Honda Pilot and a Lexus LS460 collided while traveling northbound. The crash happened around 9:14 a.m. Emergency crews, including Mayo Ambulance and the Steele County Sheriff’s Office, responded to the scene.
The Lexus driver, identified as 19-year-old Humberto Penaloza Molina of Minneapolis, was uninjured. The Honda driver, 41-year-old Seth Leavstrom of Owatonna, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Owatonna Hospital. A passenger in the Honda, 49-year-old Aron Leavstrom, was also taken to Owatonna Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
