Clay County, MO – Motorcycle Crash with Minor Injury on I-35 Ramp to I-29

Clay County, MO (October 1, 2025) – A motorcycle crash occurred on Monday, September 29, at approximately 1:50 p.m. on the southbound I-35 ramp to northbound I-29. The incident occurred when a Chevrolet Silverado attempted to pass a motorcycle on the shoulder, striking the motorcycle. The force of the collision caused the motorcycle to overturn, ejecting the 27-year-old male rider from Kansas City, MO. Fortunately, the rider sustained only minor injuries and was not transported to the hospital.

The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado left the scene before authorities arrived. The motorcycle rider was wearing a safety device at the time of the crash, which likely helped mitigate the severity of the injuries.
