Clay Co., MO – Rear-End Crash on I-35 S at MM 21.8 Leaves 1 Injured
Clay County, MO (September 16, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash on Interstate 35 South left one person injured on Sunday evening, September 14, near mile marker 21.8.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident at 5:05 p.m. A 17-year-old male driving a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado struck the rear of a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero. After the impact, the Alero veered off the left side of the road and hit a cable barrier.
The 44-year-old male driver of the Alero suffered minor injuries and was transported to Liberty Hospital by EMS. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were towed from the scene.
Authorities confirmed that both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision. The investigation into the circumstances of the crash is still underway. Our thoughts are with the injured driver, and we hope for a swift recovery.
